By downloading and activating the Secure Locate Global mobile application, the subscriber hereby confirms that he/she has read, understood, and accepted the terms and conditions for this Service Agreement, including the provision and use of emergency contact information for response and escalation purposes.

TERMS & CONDITIONS - THE BASICS

Locate Platform & Application General Terms & Conditions

1. The Agreement

This agreement is written in English (UK). If any translated version of this agreement conflicts with the English version, the English version shall prevail. This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts for any disputes.

By using the Locate Global Platform, including the web dashboard, mobile applications, and related services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the services.

 

2. Locate Global & Priavo Security Relationship

Locate Global Limited, a subsidiary of Priavo Security Limited, operates the Locate Global Platform. Depending on the service provided or contractual agreement, Priavo Security Limited may act as a data controller or joint controller.

3. Definition of "Platform"

For the purposes of this agreement, the "Locate Global Platform" refers to all components of the Locate Global service, including:

  • The web dashboard for account management, reporting, and monitoring.

  • The mobile applications available for supported devices.

  • The underlying infrastructure, including databases, cloud services, and location monitoring technologies.

 

This Agreement applies strictly to the Locate Global Platform and does not extend to third-party integrations, emergency response services, or non-standard use cases.

4. Privacy

Your privacy is very important to us. 5. User Obligations & Acceptable Use

By using the Locate Global Platform, you agree to:

 

Use the platform and services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.

  • Not share or transfer your account to any third party.

  • Not misuse the platform in a way that may interfere with its normal operation.

  • Not attempt to access or manipulate data that does not belong to you.

  • Not copy, modify, distribute, transmit, or create derivative works of any part of the Locate Global Platform without prior written permission.

  • Not use the platform for any fraudulent, abusive, or malicious purposes, including but not limited to hacking, reverse engineering, or data scraping.

  • Not upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.

  • By agreeing to these Terms, you consent to receive certain SMS notifications from the Locate Global Platform, including but not limited to emergency alerts, panic notifications, one-time passcodes (OTPs), and other service-related communications. These messages are essential to the functionality of the platform and cannot be opted out of unless the account is deactivated.

 

Failure to comply with these obligations may result in immediate termination of your account and legal action where applicable.

6. Service Limitations & Emergency Assistance Disclaimer

Locate Global provides location tracking and emergency response facilitation but does not replace traditional emergency services. The platform is subject to the following limitations:

  • Emergency Response Disclaimer: The Locate Global Platform does not replace direct contact with police, fire, ambulance, or emergency response teams. Users should always dial emergency services directly in the first instance.

  • No Real-Time Monitoring: Locate Global does not actively monitor users, respond to alerts, or intervene in emergencies unless expressly agreed upon in a separate contractual agreement.

 

Login Dependency:

  • The Locate Global app requires users to be actively logged in for tracking, alerts, and notifications to function correctly.

  • If the user logs out, force-closes the app, or their session expires, the app will not send location data, alerts, or notifications.

  • The user is responsible for ensuring they remain logged in when using the platform.

 

Device & Browser Restrictions:

  • Access to the platform may be subject to Mobile Device Management (MDM) policies, security protocols, or technical restrictions.

  • Compatibility issues may arise due to unsupported devices, outdated operating systems, or browsers.

  • Users are responsible for ensuring they have supported hardware and software.

 

Connectivity & GPS Dependence: The platform relies on internet connectivity and GPS tracking, and performance may be affected by:

  • Weak or unavailable mobile/Wi-Fi coverage.

  • GPS signal obstructions (e.g., tall buildings, weather conditions).

  • Device settings that disable location tracking.

  • Third-Party Systems & Integrations: Locate Global integrates with third-party platforms and services, but we are not responsible for service disruptions or failures caused by these external services and systems.

 

Regulatory & Geographical Restrictions:

  • Some regions restrict GPS tracking and emergency communication technologies.

  • VPNs, firewalls, or government-imposed bans may impact performance.

 

Locate Global is not liable for failures caused by any of the above limitations. Users are responsible for ensuring proper use of the platform within their operational environment.

 

7. Force Majeure

Locate Global shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, network outages, cyberattacks, or government-imposed restrictions.

 

8. Price & Payment

Locate Global’s pricing and subscription terms are determined by a contractual agreement with either Priavo Security Limited or Locate Global Limited. In some cases, subscriptions may be available for purchase through the Locate Global Platform and processed via Stripe (not app stores).

  • Payments must be made as per the agreed contract.

  • Locate Global reserves the right to amend pricing with prior notice.

  • Failure to make timely payments may result in service suspension.

 

9. Termination

Termination of services is subject to the contractual or subscription terms agreed upon between the user and Locate Global Limited or Priavo Security Limited.

Simply removing the Locate Global application from your device does not terminate this agreement.
Termination procedures, notice periods, and refund policies will be governed by the specific agreement in place.

 

10. Amendments

Locate Global reserves the right to amend these Terms. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the platform implies acceptance of such amendments.

 

11. Disputes & Liability

This agreement is governed by English law. Any disputes arising under or related to this agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England.

Locate Global is not responsible for indirect losses, including lost profits or data loss, beyond the extent permitted by law.

12. Relationship with Contractual Agreements

These General Terms & Conditions apply alongside any specific contractual agreements between the user and either Locate Global Limited or Priavo Security Limited.

If a contractual agreement explicitly states that it takes precedence over these Terms, the contractual agreement shall apply.
In all other cases, these Terms remain in effect unless superseded by applicable laws or regulations.

14. Definitions

"Platform" refers to the Locate Global web dashboard, mobile applications, and related services.
"Services" means the features and functionalities provided by Locate Global.
"User" refers to any individual using Locate Global services.
"Priavo Security Limited" is the parent company of Locate Global Limited and may act as a joint controller under certain agreements.
"End Users" refers to the staff, employees, and volunteers authorised to use the Locate Global Platform under a company's agreement.
